The Data Centre

SonnetUK utilises the services of the NAC (Net Access Corporation) data centre in New Jersey, USA for our US based hosting. NAC is widely regarded as one of the best providers on the East coast of America.

Safety and reliability of services and equipment is ensured by the employment of FM-200 fire suppression, multiple UPS systems and back-up diesel generators, and of course experienced technicians are on hand 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

Network

NAC has made significant investments in network equipment from major vendors such as Cisco and Lucent. The data centre uses redundant Cisco routers at the network edge, connected to Cisco layer 3 distribution switches. Using industry leading equipment that has a proven track record ensures network performance is optimal.

The data centre has connections to multiple redundant bandwidth providers, including Sprint, UUNET, Cable & Wireless, PSI, AOL, Level 3 and Genuity, as well as a number of public and private peering arrangements.
